BDS 3″ Performance COilover System for ’03-13 RAM HD TrucksColdwater, MI— February 20, 2015— BDS Suspension ups the ante with new 3″ performance coilover systems for 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2003-2012 Dodge Ram 3500 4wd diesel trucks adding to its current offerings of 6″ and 8″ performance coilover systems. Designed to offer the ultimate performance offroad this new system brings together specially tuned Fox factory-series 2.5 remote coilovers with BDS’s 3″ performance system for superior capability, ride quality, and high speed performance with room to clear 35″ tires. The new ride height comes from a pair of specially engineered Fox 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers designed for the ultimate performance right out of the box. These Fox coilovers feature:
These coilovers are built to perform on the front of Cummins-powered RAMs installing in place of the factory coil springs using BDS’s new heavy duty upper and lower mounting brackets. These brackets not only create a sturdy top mount at the frame with room for the reservoir, but also include weld-in reinforcements at the axle able to continually withstand whatever abuse your RAM HD is subjected to. In addition to the coilovers new heavy duty tubular upper and lower control arms are supplied to reposition the front axle and adjust for proper caster and pinion angles. The arms feature durometer specific dual fluted polyurethane bushings for quiet, durable performance and easy servicing. To recenter the front axle laterally with the lift installed, BDS includes a new heavy duty adjustable track bar. The 1-3/8″ solid steel track bar is a huge improvement to the factory unit and features reinforced ends and a pinch bolt style turnbuckle for easy adjustment. New longer sway bar links are supplied to replace the failure prone factory stem style links to a eye-to-eye for increased strength and improved range of motion. In the rear a small tapered 2″ block and new black e-coated u-bolts are used to level the stance and correct rear pinion angle. Rounding out this kit are a pair of Fox 2.0 performance IFP gas shocks for improved dampening capabilities.
