The WJ has proven itself to be a capable vehicle off-road, however the front steering design is inherent to front end “wheel shimmy” issues at stock height or lifted. This new BDS dual steering stabilizer kit is designed to control front end feedback and improve drivability for both stock and lifted applications. The stabilizer kit utilizes a pair of hydraulic shocks mounted end-to-end for a seamless look…
JK Testimonial- Snow Wheeler from Canada
We love to hear (and see) what you do with your BDS-equipped rides. We recently came across a YouTube video of a 3” BDS Lifted JK running 35s on a snow covered logging trail in Alberta, Canada. Here’s what they had to say about the kit: 2013 Jeep JKU, BDS 3” Lift Kit, 35” BFG KM2, 18” XD Monsters Thanks! LOVE the lift! It is so much better than the stock ride. BDS Loves Build Threads- Great TJ Thread
We’re enthusiasts here at BDS Suspension, and we love to see what you’re working on. While you won’t see us plastered all over the gamut of forums, we do participate, we get involved, and throw our 2 cents in. We know you don’t want to hear a sales pitch from us, but rather actual tech support, the tricks, tips, the stuff we’ve figured out over the years and had first hand experience with. JeepForum.com is one we frequent. We came across a thread recently by a guy named “Peyts” from Ontario, who was starting out the build on his family TJ with plans to turn it into a weekend warrior. Check out the build thread and join the discussion at http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/transforming-my-soccer-mom-tj-lift-kit-tires-wheel-spacers-1438900/
SEMA 2012 Coverage: The Rides
The show is great, the potential for new business is amazing, but we know what a lot of people come for, the rides… This section of BDS’s 2012 SEMA coverage focuses on vehicles of SEMA. If you haven’t checked out Part 1 of BDS’s SEMA 2012 Coverage: The Booth yet, click the link to check it out. SEMA has something for everyone, that is if you are into cars, trucks, or bikes. From lifted trucks and off-road machines, to low riders and luxury exotics, purpose built racecars and rolling boom boxes. BDS teamed up with a number of builders from around the country and beyond to put together some killer customs and head turning creations. It’s difficult to stand out at a show like SEMA. In the sea of show stopping customs, over the top exotics, and flashy (often gaudy) paint jobs, trying to play the balancing act of attention-getter without…
Bantam Jeep Fest Recap
Butler, PA, with it’s beautiful landscape and small town charm has a little secret. Well it’s not much of a secret, it’s more of a heritage; the heritage of the Jeep; the birthplace of the Jeep. Over seven decades ago when the Army requested auto manufactures develop a light weight reconnaissance vehicle to use on the battlefields during WWII. Only 2 companies stepped up to the plate one being Willys-Overland and the other being the American Bantam Car Company in Butler, PA. Bantam original won the contract, but ultimately Willys received the commission with the help of Ford to meet the military’s quota. Fast forward 70+ years and the town of Butler decides to celebrate it’s heritage by hosting a Jeep gathering. Last year being the inaugural year the event set a Guiness world record for the longest Jeep parade and followed it up by starting this year’s event with…
