2012 King of the Hammers just 2 weeks away!
Over the past couple year there’s been a phenomenon that has taken off-road racing by storm. A mix of high speed desert racing and extreme rock crawling that tested man and machine in ways unlike ever before. 5 years after exploding onto the scene, the event that started it all, the King of the Hammers (KOH), is just 2 short weeks away. Each year KOH brings thousands to the hostile desert terrain of Johnson Valley, CA and converge in what’s known as Hammertown. Part party, part vendor show, part garage, this town is build from nothing each year as over 30,000 come to experience the action. The action starts February 3rd as race competition buggies, UTVs, and daily drivers make the trip out into the desert to compete in various classes to be crowned the King of the Hammers. BDS is hitting the Road for Carlisle
BDS is loaded up and hitting the road for the Carlisle Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. The show runs Friday-Sunday (August 5-7, 2011) at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The show features everything truck culture from lifted to lowered show trucks, monster trucks, burnout contest and so much more. 1st Jambo of the Year, Lima 4Wheel Jamboree
Well it’s that season again, the weather is finally getting warm for us Michigan folks and the truck/jeep shows are in full swing. This past weekend, Lima Ohio played host to the 1st of three 4Wheel Jamboree National events. While the ground was a bit soggy from rain earlier in the week, the weather held out over the weekend and thousands made their way to the Allen County Fairgrounds for this 26th annual show. BDS made the trip out for the show with a newly wrapped trailer, Ultimate Adventure Jeep, and displays showing off some of our new products. We had the opportunity to chat with customers, check out some awesome show trucks o display, and watch the monster trucks run. 45th Annual Easter Jeep Safari (Moab, Utah)
Another Spring has come and with it the 45th Annual Easter Jeep Safari (EJS). Moab, Utah played host to this event once again with thousands of Jeeps, trucks, and buggies converging on the small uranium-rich town for a week of off-road entertainment. The Red Rock 4 Wheelers put on another great event with trail rides, vendor show, and around $100,000 in raffle prizes throughout last week. BDS had the chance to hit the trails with some of our customers and get their feedback. Teri Haux had her BDS 4.5” lift-equipped JK out on the trails to promoted the upcoming film Life Offroad due to start production soon. Ben Parker built the storm-chasing Rescue Rubicon for SEMA sporting a BDS 6.5’’ long arm kit . TDS starts today!
TDS starts today and runs through the weekend with the gathering of 1500 off-road vehicles and attendance nearing 8000 out in the Mojave Desert for a weekend of 4wheeling in the Ocotillo Wells SVRA Park in Southern California. The event is hosted by the TDS 4WD Club of San Diego and over the last half century has grown into a must see events, with off-road trails, camping, huge vendor show and more.
