Custom Offsets, the guys you see all over on the internet building trucks and shooting videos launched their own wheel company Arkon Offroad. With that they wanted to build a promotional tow rig to help get the name out there. When it came to choosing a truck they went with the late model Super Duty for the workhorse 6.7L Powerstroke diesel. From there they outfitted it with a slew of premium accessories to help this truck stand out from the rest and perform at its best on and offroad. This past SEMA Show was one for the ages. So many cool and custom vehicles on display will several new 4x4s competing for the spotlight.  Among them the 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with new styling, new powertrain options and new tech throughout. When it came to building a new HD, Ernie Vole of Ernie’s ATC in Vernon Hills, IL had a concept that tweaked our interest. Rather than lifting it sky high and and running 24s or even 28s he wanted to show off the truck’s offroad prowess, keep it low and build a truck capable of bombing down a trail along the Baja peninsula. Late last year in preparation for the 2018 SEMA Show, the crew from Air Designs got their hands on the new 2019 Ford Ranger to transform it into their take on the Raptor Ranger, a midsize truck many of us are envious of although not offered here in North America. Starting with the clean slate new Ranger, the team designed an offroad body kit complete with fender flares, hood scoop, body cladding and bumper accents to give their truck a mean appearance all color matched in a gloss black/white pattern. The setup allows for additional Rigid lighting to be added for improved visibility. From there they suspension was upgraded to a BDS 2.5″ UCA Lift System with prototype FOX coilovers and shocks to make room for the 33″ Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 20″ Fuel wheels.
