Late last year in preparation for the 2018 SEMA Show, the crew from Air Designs got their hands on the new 2019 Ford Ranger to transform it into their take on the Raptor Ranger, a midsize truck many of us are envious of although not offered here in North America. Starting with the clean slate new Ranger, the team designed an offroad body kit complete with fender flares, hood scoop, body cladding and bumper accents to give their truck a mean appearance all color matched in a gloss black/white pattern. The setup allows for additional Rigid lighting to be added for improved visibility. From there they suspension was upgraded to a BDS 2.5" UCA Lift System with prototype FOX coilovers and shocks to make room for the 33" Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 20" Fuel wheels. To get more power and sound out of the 2.3L EcoBoost engine a Borla exhaust system was added. Very cool build, check it out in action:

2005-2012 Toyota Tacoma 6″

Coldwater, MI—April 12, 2012—BDS Suspension is expanding their line of suspension options for the late model Toyota Tacoma trucks. Now in stock and available for sale BDS offers a complete 6” suspension lift for the 2005-2012 Toyota Tacoma. These new IFS suspension systems follows BDS proven design standards using full one-piece front/rear crossmembers coupled with precision machined ductile cast iron steering knuckles. The steering knuckles are designed to work within the factory traction control constraints and provide stock-like handling characteristics. The knuckles are also considerably more robust in both the mass and strength over the OE components.

The crossmembers are built from ¼” steel plate and have integrated differential mounts that work with the new provided differential mounts to properly reposition the front differential for optimal CV and front driveshaft angles. The whole package is protected by a new belly pan skid plate that runs from the front to rear crossmember and allows integration with the factory front skid/splash guard. The factory front struts are retained with the kit utilizing top strut spacer and preload spacer to gain the proper lift height.

To lift the rear, BDS supplies multiple lift block options with 3” and 4” sizes available as well as longer u-bolts, 5500-series shocks, and all the necessary brake line/wire relocation brackets. This system allows for up to 35×12.50 tires to be installed on 18×9 or 20×9 with 4.5” backspacing.

In addition to the  6” system, BDS is proud to also offer a complete 4” system as well. For more info on these new kit offerings and find the distributor nearest you, check out BDS Suspension or call (517) 279-2135.
