BDS heading to Indy this weekend!
BDS Suspension will be hitting the road tomorrow heading to Indianapolis for this weekend’s Fall 4Wheel Jamboree Nationals, September 16-18th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Get your rig shined up and bring the family, this year’s Indy Jamboree is shaping up to be the best yet as we all celebrate 30 years of this Indy-based show. From monster trucks rides to mud drags, tough trucks to bikini clad women, shown-shine contest to on site vendors, Indy will be the place to be this weekend. Thousands will be flocking to Indy for this annual festival, and there’s never a shortage a everything truck; the vehicles, the lifestyle, and the ummm… the people. SEMA Ciape Show in China
BDS Suspension in China for the 2011 SEMA Ciape Show BDS’s Andy Barbieri has made the long journey back from China following another successful SEMA Ciape Show. The show, which has some similarities to the design of the SEMAShow in Las Vegas each November, brings in companies from all over the world to showcase their new automotive products to the expanding Chinese market. BDS made the trip out to Beijing for the show and to meet with current and prospective distributors of our top quality, American-manufactured products. Among the distributors Andy met up with were two of our current distributors, BATT Customs which owns the white Tundra with the 7” BDS Â lift and To Jeep Racing who gave Andy the opportunity to get a little 4wheeling in after organizing with the local Jeep club. BDS’s Newest Toy: 2010 Dodge Ram 2500
BDS 2011 SEMA Truck: 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 BDS just picked up a new tow rig/promotional vehicle being built to showcase at SEMA this year. We’ll be building this Ram 2500 into one bad ass ride; a monster right at home hauling our show trailer around and mashing the skinny pedal on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Currently the truck features a stock 6.7L Cummins diesel and a clean, plain jane body and interior. We’ll be breathing new life into this Ram with BDS suspension upgrades and the help of some awesome companies that share the same passion for on and of-road performance as we do. Companies like BMF Wheels, Toyo Tires, Volant Performance, Edge Products, MBRP Exhaust, Anzo Lighting, Amp Research, and plenty more in the works… While this truck is slated to debut in Las Vegas for this year’s SEMA Show, BDS R&D is in the process of outfitting the Ram for this weekend’s Indy…

BDS Suspension in China BDS Suspension landed in Beijing, China Monday in preparation for the SEMA CIAPE Show which starts today, September 7th,  and runs through the weekend. Hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), this show has much in common with the SEMA Show held in Las Vegas each November (which BDS is attending in booth 30170, but more on that later). Companies from around the world are in attendance to looking to offer their products in this expanding market. The show is structured slightly different then the US SEMA Show as vendors hold a number of smaller one-on-one interactions in addition to the product showcase. BDS’s Andy Barbieri made the trip 1/2-way around the world to showcase some the new products BDS is offering for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. Andy spent part of the day yesterday visiting with distributors like Boys and their Toys Customs (BATT) in Beijing.…
The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza
The 2011 Scheid Diesel Extravaganza This was BDS’s first year attending the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza and we are happy to say that it did not disappoint. There were more diesel truck packed into the small town of Terre Haute, Indiana then you’d think possible. Well over 10,000 spectators and their trucks made the trip to watch and/or participate in the truck show, Tractor pulls, and diesel drags. Two dynamometers stationed directly outside the vendor barn kept diesel smoke in the air all day every day. BDS was the only suspension company attending the event this year, and there were plenty of  diesel truck enthusiasts interested in upgrading their over taxed stock suspension components. BDS Tundra up For Sale
BDS Tundra up For Sale It’s time to make room around the shop for some cool new projects. On the chopping block is the BDS Tundra, which has served us well over the past few years and is ready to excite someone new. The BDS Tundra has been a beast of a truck, making trips from the east coast to the west, wheeling in Moab and cruising up around Canada. It’s been garage kept (ok, so it’s our heated warehouse) and only driven on the weekends to shows (and occasionally around town during the week). We purchased it new from the local dealer back in late 2006 and it’s been used to develop our 3”, 4.5”, and 7” suspension kits.
