BDS 6" Coilover 4-Link Lift Kits: BDS Suspension raises the bar with new 6" Coilover Conversion 4-Link Systems and coilover upgrade kits for the redesigned 2017 Ford Super Duty trucks.  After careful consideration in the design and development and thorough testing these new coilover options are now available allowing Super Duty owners to take their new work horse trucks to the next level of performance for premium on-road comfort and superior performance out on the trail.

At the heart of these new 6" systems is a heavy duty 4-link control arm conversion to upgrade the factory stamped steel radius arms for improved strength, handling, and caster control. This new setup is based off the tried and true 4-link setup from '05-16 Super Duty kits, now designed to key off the factory frame bracket (no need to remove factory bracket) along with tying into the frame rail and transmission crossmember for an extremely rigid control arm mount. The brackets are build from high strength 1/4" steel, come fully welded and finished in a durable textured black powdercoat with riveted BDS nameplates.  The upper and lower control arms are built from heavy wall 2" OD DOM steel tubing with massive 2-1/2" greaseable  frame mount bushings and reinforced clevis mounts to attach at the axle.

Pairing with this 4-link conversion are the precision tuned FOX 2.5 factory series remote reservoir coilovers. These coilovers offer vastly superior dampening for impressive capability to soak up the harshest terrains offroad while offering comfort on your daily commute. They feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened stainless steel shaft, FOX coil springs, black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts and remote reservoir with optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology. The DSC adjustment allows for easy tuning of the vehicle’s suspension compression dampening to dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high-speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low-speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance for your particular needs. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the "blue" high speed and "gold" low speed compression knobs located on the end of the remote reservoir of the FOX 2.5 coilovers. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. The coilovers come fully assembled, preset for 6" of lift right out of the box. Preload adjustments can be made using the #129600 spanner wrench available separately. The coilovers install into the factory coilover buckets easily using the supplied frame and axle mounting brackets and an auxiliary FOX 2.0 IFP performance gas shocks is supplied for the factory mounting location.

For steering correction a forged drop pitman arm and heavy duty track bar relocation bracket are supplied. This brings the drag link angle closer to factory and keeps the steering angles in line with the relocated track bar for improved drivability. Also supplied for the front are bump stop extensions to limit suspension compression, sway bar drop brackets to correct the sway bar positioning, and brake line relocation brackets to allow the use of the factory brake lines to speed up installation. In the rear of these 6" systems BDS offers multiple lift options for both the OE 2-leaf main spring pack and OE 3-leaf main spring pack  equipped trucks. The first option is a 6" replacement block and u-bolt kit for the 3-leaf trucks. The blocks are built from high strength, fully boxed steel with an integrated bump stop wing. Both the blocks and u-bolts are finished in a durable black e-coat finish. In addition to the block kit, the 2-leaf trucks receive an add-a-leaf to level the stance. The second option for the rear are full replacement BDS Glideride leaf springs to provide the lift needed to level the stance. These springs are a 4-leaf design with integrated overload leaf for extra load capacity. They come fully assembled with bushings installed for ease installation and a smooth ride on and off-road. Finishing off the rear of this kit are a pair of matching FOX 2.0 gas shocks to compliment the front.

The 2017 models use a new front driveline design that requires correction at 6" of lift and above to allow for use of 4WD at any speed. To do this BDS supplies a high strength transfer case indexing ring to rotate the front output of the transfer case down to improve the front driveline operating angle. The indexing ring uses ARP studs and includes new mounting hardware. Also supplied is a heavy duty replacement transmission crossmember to allow additional clearance. All of these components come together for the best 6" suspension package for the 2017 Super Duty with clearance for up to 38" tires. Take your 2017 Super Duty to the next level with BDS and FOX.

Does BDS offer any suspension upgrades for my 08 F350 dually with Long wheel base. 2 wheel drive?

Hey Randy, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately we don’t offer any lit options for the 2WD Ford Super Duty. Our focus has always been on the 4WD models, the only time we get into 2WD kits is when the OEM trucks share suspension design between the 2WD/4WD models. That isn’t the case with the Super Duty. 4WD uses a solid axle and coil sprung radius arm front end where the 2WD uses a IFS coil sprung setup.

Are you guys planning on putting out a 8 inch 4 link coilover kit for the 2017 ford f350 superduty anytime soon?
if so, is there a release date or estimated time of release?
Thanks in advance

Hey Matt, we do have several kits and accessories in the works for the 2017 Super Duty including 8″ lift systems, unfortunately I can’t get into kit specifics, options, price point, or expected release date due to company policy. Once kits are on the shelf ready to ship we’ll be adding them to our website, sending out announcements and begin promoting on media outlets. Stay tuned fore more info coming soon and to check out the 8″ kit in action check out our EJS 2017 recap where we had it out on the trail for testing. https://blog.bds-suspension.com/?p=14734

Hey Brian, sorry to hear you’re having an issue with the coilovers. I’m not in a position to offer assistance from the marketing dept, but you can contact BDS customer service so they can look into the issue and offer support. Call (517) 279-2135 or email

Hey Carter, I am looking to install your 6? C/O LA system on my 2017 F-250. I am looking at a 37×13.50R22 Toyo M/T on 22X10.5 wheels with 4.75 backspacing… In your opinion would this be okay to run with no rub or trimming? I can see the system can clear 38’s Im more concerned about the width… Thanks!

Hey Michael, thanks for the message. You shouldn’t have any trouble fitting that 37×13.50 tire and 22×10.5 wheel combo with 4.75″ BS on your Super Duty with our 6″ C/O System.

Hello, my name is Michael. I am running a 6.5 zone with full radius arm replacement on my 2016 dodge 2500 diesel crew cab with 35×12.5r20 with a -44 rim. Love the way my truck looks, but it rides good some days and bad other days… Not sure why it does that? It also has a lean to the passenger side of the truck. I would like to put a set of 37’s or bigger on my truck but I want to run a dual shock set up on the front and change my shocks to fox ones to see if my truck rides better…

Hey Michael,
thanks for reaching out. Its difficult to diagnose the change in ride quality based on the info you provided, potentially something isn’t installed correctly, potentially it could have to do with your climate (change in temp can effect shock dampening, tire sidewall stiffness, etc). Terms like rides “good” and rides “bad” aren’t very descriptive words to tell me what you’re looking for in the ride quality and without knowing what shocks you are running now its hard to give comparison. Is it too stiff, too spongy, too much body roll? We do offer a dual shock hoop that is compatible with your Zone lift, (#122615 bracket kit + 4x #98224752 FOX shocks), however it should be noted that adding shocks will stiffen up ride quality a bit. Your Zone 6.5″ radius arm lift is sufficient to allow the fitment of 37s (potentially larger with an aftermarket bumper and additional trimming), however its hard to give direction without knowing how wide your wheels are. On the topic of the truck not sitting level side to side, it could be an issue of the top spring isolater not installed correctly, that would be a topic to discuss with your local dealer and Zone customer service for their input.
