BDS 6" RAM 1500 Lift Systems: With an all new truck comes an all new suspension. Now available for the 2019 model year RAM 1500 4WD trucks BDS Suspension has released new 6” IFS lift systems. Based around the tried and true high clearance technology that has made BDS the go to for RAM suspension lifts, these systems have been designed from the ground up to get more out of your new RAM. This new 6” lift system is the first of many new BDS options to come available for the new trucks bringing you on road comfort, off-road capability and clearance for 35-37” tires.

At the heart of this new 6” system BDS utilizes a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS’s multipoint relocation bracket system to secure the front differential and keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. Additional ride height on this particular kit comes from a set of top mounted steel fabricated strut spacers along with a preload spacers to maintain ride quality and handling characteristics. Rounding out the front of this kit are a pair of stainless steel braided extended brake line and sway bar relocation brackets.

In the rear of this 6” lift system the factory coil springs are replaced with 5” ProRide dual rate coil springs to lift and level the stance. With the additional ride height the rear suspension geometry is corrected with control arm relocation brackets, a bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket to recenter the axle, extended length sway bar links to correct operating angle, and bump stop extensions to properly limit up travel. The rear of these kits are rounded out with your choice of specially tuned NX2 nitro series gas shocks or FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks to offer improved damper performance. All kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat and sent with all hardware packs to complete the install along with step-by-step installation instructions. All BDS kits include Factory Protection Plus for the ultimate extended warranty to include BDS’s No Fine Print Warranty, ESC System compatibility and a 5year-100mile drivetrain warranty to match the dealer. Improve the look and capability of your 2019 RAM 1500 truck with this new 6” lift system from BDS Suspension.

Super stoked for the lift for the air ride equipped 2019 Ram, my LIMITED is ready!!! Will it be a 4” lift like years prior?

We haven’t released the air-ride compatible systems for the 2019 models, but 4″ systems are in the works

Ive owned my Ram 1500 2019 w Air Ride for 8 months and Ive been waiting patiently. Im not sure I can wait any longer and may need to jump on the Rough Country 5″ lift. How much longer until the 4″ BDS is released?

Hey Dana,
The new air ride kits are in the works, however not released quite yet. We take the time to thoroughly develop and test our kits before offering them up to the public. As soon as kits hit the shelf ready for sale we’ll be sending out announcements and begin promoting.

Hi Daniel,
We offer several kits for the factory rear air-ride equipped 2014-2018 RAM 2500 4WD trucks to include 2″, 4″, 4″ 4-Link, 5.5-6″, and 5.5-6″ 4-Link Kit options. You can find more information on each of the kits as well as customize the kits with accessories like FOX shocks, dual shock kits, steering stabilizers, adjustable track bar and more by heading to http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1633H.

As for ordering the kit you can purchase right off our website (w/ free shipping to local dealer) or head to your local dealer to purchase it directly from them. To find your local authorized BDS dealer/installer head to http://bds-suspension.com/distributor-lookup

Hey Mark,
The RAM Rebel has the BDS 6″ IFS System, 35×12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and 22×10 Asanti Offroad AB8 | 3 Cleavers

I currently have the 3.5 lift. They replace the upper control arms. So if I go with the BDS 6in lift what do I do ?

Hey Leonardo,
Not knowing all the components of your current 3.5″ UCA kit I’ll say in general most of that kit will be removed/replaced when installing out 6″ IFS Lift Kit. The UCAs would be compatible with our lift, but any other components (strut spacer, diff drop, etc) from your current kit would not be used.

Will there be a 6 inch lift available for the trucks equipped with factory 22 inch wheels .

Hey Shawn,
Thanks for reaching out. Compatible kits for the larger wheel/hub RAMs is in the works, once available to sell/ship we’ll be sending out announcements and promote online.

Hey Joe, these kits are for 4WD models only. The 2WD RAM 1500 uses a different suspension configuration, no plans to offer kits for the 2WD RAM models at this point.

Hi Matt, we have several additional kit sizes and options (like the FOX 2.5 RR coilovers) in the works currently, unfortunately can’t get into expected release dates per company policy. As parts hit the shelves ready to sell we’ll be sending out announcements.

Looking foward to installing this kit soon. Will you be releasing Fox 2.5 Coil-overs for this kit soon?

Hey Leo, similar to me response to Matt, we have several additional kit sizes and options (like the FOX 2.5 RR coilovers) in the works currently, unfortunately can’t get into expected release dates per company policy. As parts hit the shelves ready to sell we’ll be sending out announcements.

Hi Randy,
we are working through the development process now on a number of kits for the new 2019 RAM 2500/3500 trucks. There are a number of changes from previous years that required redesign for compatibility. At this point we’ve released the 2″ leveling kit, but have several additional options in the works.Per company policy we don’t discuss new product development topics like specific kit details, pricing, expected release dates, etc. As soon as kits make it to the shelves ready for ship we’ll be sending out announcements and begin promoting on our website.

When will the 4” lift be available for the ram 1500? Will I be able to use the stock 22 inch rims with 35 inch toyo open country tires with that setup ?

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the interest in BDS Suspension. We have additional kit sizes in the works for the 2019 RAM 1500 as well as kit options for trucks with factory 22s (uses a larger hub bore on the steering knuckles). That said we currently have not yet released a 4″ IFS System for the 2019 RAM 1500 4WD equipped with factory 22s and due to company policy can’t discuss expected release dates. Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements, as soon as thy hit the shelf ready to ship we’ll add them to our website and start promoting.

Hi Jacob, thanks for reaching out. What year RAM 3500 Dually are you asking about?

2003-2012 RAM 3500: 2-8″ kits currently available
2013-2018 RAM 3500: 2-8″ kits currently available
2019 RAM 3500: 2″ kits currently available, 3″+ kits are currently under development

Hey Rocky, nothing available in that height range for the 2019s at this point. We’re working on several new kit options for the RAM HD applications, as kits hit the shelves ready for sale we’re begin promoting, unfortunately company policy dictates we can’t get into the new product details, expected release dates, etc. Keep an eye out on our website and social media for announcements.

Hope the 4″ lift is released soon for 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 4×4 or i may end up going a different route unfortunately…

Hey AC,
kits are in the works for the 2019 RAM 1500 w/ Air Ride, the development and testing has just taken a bit longer than expected. Hang in there, we’ll have the kits out soon

Hey AC,
We have several additional lift kits and options in the works for the 2019 RAMs, among them a 4″ IFS System for the non-air ride trucks. That said I can’t get into expected release times other than to say they’ll be coming soon.

The wait is almost over, we’ll have the 4″ kit options available in the next week. Stay tuned for the official announcement

So with the 6 inch lift that is available, does the truck sit level after it’s installed? How many inches exactly does the front and rear come up?

Thank you!

Hi Catlin, thanks for reaching out and your interest in BDS Suspension. We offer 2 lift heights currently for the 2019 RAM 1500, both of which are designed to lift and level the stance (eliminate the factory nose low rake)

The 4″ lift kit uses 4″ front strut spacers and 3″ rear coil springs.
The 6″ lift kit uses 6″ front strut+preload spacers and 5″ rear coil springs.

For more info on available kits head to http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1637H

Hey Catlin, we keep those kits in stock. They’ll ship within 24hrs of the order being placed with us (same day if ordered before 1pm). If ordering direct from us we offer free shipping to your local BDS dealer. Your other option is to order through your local BDS dealer who may offer the kit below our website’s MSRP. Patiently waiting on 5th gen air ride 4×4 lifts. Can you please tell me if there is a 6″ lift in the works for a ram 2019 Ram limited with air. Want the best some things worth waiting for.

Hey Joshua, no plans to offer a 6″ kit for air ride equipped 2019 RAM 1500 4WD, but we will have a 4″ kit for them soon. The issue with setting the base ride height up at 6″of lift on an air ride equipped truck is the tallest ride height modes will raise it up an additional 2″ taller (8″ lift total) which is not ideal for the suspension/steering/driveline geometry of our kit and may lead to premature wear of front end components. Our base IFS kits for the RAM 1500 are designed to function properly between 4-6″ of lift so we set the standard ride height at 4″ over than stock so that even when in the taller ride height modes the suspension will still function within our recommended parameters.

So installing a 4 inch lift kit at aero dynamic mode will i have a 4 inch lift and in normal mode 6 inches?? can you be more specific on ride heights as far as heights in AERO, NORMAL, OFF ROAD1 and OFFROAD 2. What is the height of vehicle in each mode??

Hey Josh,
Ride height will be 4″ taller in each mode than it was from the factory. Beyond that I’d recommend contacting out tech support team for assistance, they’ll be better able to answer technical questions. You can reach them directly at (517) 279-2135 or tech-bds@ridefox.com

Hey Stacy (and everyone else interested in the air ride kits),
We’re in the home stretch, expect to see the 4″ air ride compatible systems for the 2019 RAM 1500 available for sale in the next month. We’ll be sending out an official once kits are packaged up and on the shelf ready to ship.

Hey Warren, just got the word kits are getting packaged up, stay tuned for the official announcement later this week.

Hey,
I have a 2020 Rebel 1500 on order, will the 2019 kits fit? Will there be a 4″ coil-over option vs. spacer available?

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Michael,
while we don’t expect any chassis/suspension changes between 2019 and 2020 models, at this time we haven’t had a 2020 RAM Rebel in the shop for testing to confirm compatibility. Kit sizes/options will depend on whether the truck is fitted with air ride or the standard strut/coil suspension.Once kits have been tested we’ll be sending out announcements and updating our website listings

We do have some additional coilover options in the works for the 2019 RAM 1500 trucks, however no plans to offer it at the 4″ lift height. As kits get released we’ll se sending out announcements and adding them to our website.

Hey Matt,
We have several kits in the works for the 2019 RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 trucks, unfortunately we keep quiet about options until kits are on the shelf ready to ship out. As soon as kits hit the market we’ll start promoting, keep an eye out for upcoming announcements over the next couple weeks.

Do you have the release date yet for the ’19 ram 1500 with air suspension? Does it impact tow capacity? Will it still auto-level or will there be sag in the back from the lift? Thanks!

Hey Kevin, see the previous comments for more on this discussion. 4″ air-ride compatible kits will be released very soon (later this week). They’ll retain full functionality of the air ride system, just at 4″ taller ride height through all the modes. The lift won’t effect tow capacity, however the tire/wheel choice may. Stay tuned for the official announcement.

Thanks for your patience Carter, I ordered mine today thru ETA OFF-ROAD in Virginia Beach for install Thur & Fri, can’t wait.

Good deal Warren, Mike and the guys over at ETA will take care of you, they’ve got a lot of experience with the similar kit for the 13-18 Air Ride RAMs

2019 ram 1500 lifts with air ride coming soon. Would like to get a time frame. Please been waiting awhile.Just release it please. I’m so excited and looking foward to another quality part from bds.Ill even volunteer my truck so you can test lift.

Thanks Josh, the wait is (almost) over. Kits are in packaging and will be officially released later this week. Keep an eye out for the official announcement.

Hey Kevin,
While we don’t expect any differences, at this point we haven’t test fit our current standard/air ride kits for the 2019 RAM 1500/Rebel over on the 2020 RAM models. While it will likely install without any issues, until we test fit and confirm compatibility we will not officially list the 2020 model fitment.

just a thought I’m putting on a 4 inch lift next week was wondering if bds sells or sold something to over ride the air lift to remain up in off road 1 and off road 2 and so forth.

Hey Joshua, we don’t offer anything to override the adjustable ride height of the functionality. That said our standard lift ktis and coilover systems can be used on a RAM to get ride of the air struts and rear bags. For more on that topic contact out tech support team.

Hey Jeremiah,
In a nutshell, there are no plans to offer a 6″ base kit for the Air Ride RAM 1500 / Rebel models. To give more background to that statement the way our BDS 4″ and 6″ lift kits are designed for the standard RAM 1500 they share the same base components (crossmembers, steering knuckles, diff drops, etc) and are designed to correct the suspension-steering-driveline geometry at 4-6″ of lift. On an air ride equipped truck the ride height is adjustable up or down depending on the mode you are in. So while our air ride kits are designed for a base 4″ of lift which put the geometry back like stock, the kit is designed to retain full functionality of the air ride system giving it the ability to air up to around 6″ of lift in the taller ride height modes which is the tallest we recommend with our kits to maintain proper functionality. For more on the topic feel free to contact our sales/tech support team at (517) 279-2135.

Do you know the part number or offset of the 22×10 Asanti Offroad AB813 Cleavers used on the Ram Rebel pictured?

Hey I have a 2019 Ram Rebel, looking to lift it. I know the rebel is already 2″ roughly lifted. I was looking at the 6inch Coilover kit, but would that technically only be 4 inch more then the way I sit now?

Hey Ryan, just to be clear your 2019 Rebel is non-air ride, correct? Assuming so ride height is right at about 1″ taller than a standard RAM 1500, the 6″ coilover system will net you 5″ of lift over stock when installed on new RAM Rebel.

If your Rebel has air-ride we offer a 4″ system that will net 4″ of lift in each of the various ride height modes.

Hello, I have a 6″ BDS lift with the fox shocks – stock rear track bar is making noise – can you recommend a replacement track bar to use?

Hey George, Unfortunately no recommendations on an aftermarket replacement for the factory rear track bar on the 2019 RAM 1500 4WD trucks. Those track bars are designed to last, it may be worth checking with the dealer about replacement bushings or even OE warranty replacement as all our kit does in reposition it back to the factory operating angle with a relocation bracket.

Hi. Any update on the 2019 6 inch lift fitting the 2020 ram rebels with ecodiesel. And how soon if not?

Hey Jason, 2020 kits will be out very soon. RAM made some revisions on the trucks from 2019 which have caused us to update our kits, look for them in the next couple weeks.

Sorry if there is a question answered here about this but I’m looking for a rough roof height on my 2020 1500 ram sport with 20” wheels and 35’sX112.5 tires with a 6” lift kit?

Hey Joel, unfortunately that’s not measurement we record when setting up the kits. Ultimately it’ll be dependent on the actual tire size (not all 35s are exactly 35″ tall) any accessories that might effect ride height like heavy winch bumpers, cab lights/light bars, roof racked cab, etc. You can estimate it by measuring your current (stock) height, adding 6in for the lift, and adding 1/2 the difference in tire size (i.e. 31″ tall tires to 35″ tires will raise overall ride height by 2″)

hello, was wondering when a 6inch lift is coming for the 2020 ram ecodiesels with regular coil suspension? thanks.

Hey Jason,
At this point we haven’t test fit to confirm compatibility on the 2020 RAM 1500 models. That said we will be offering kit for all (4WD) models in the near future to include the EcoDiesel equipped 2020 RAM 1500 4WD.

ordered my lift kit on April 5th thru a company down here in Jacksonville, FL and still hasn’t came in yet with all this Corona virus going on. Do you guys plan on shipping soon or waiting for awhile longer?

Hey Troy,
sorry for any delays COVID-19 has caused with you getting your vehicle set up. We were forced to close down shipping for 3 weeks starting late March, but have been able to resuming shipping. It’d be worth checking with the shop you ordered through to have them check status on their order with our sales/customer service department.

Hey Robert,
We’re in the final stages of manufacturing-packaging, ultimately there were a few details that needed to be addressed that differed from 2019 models. Look for an announcement in the coming days once everything is ready to ship out
