Do these replace the older model strut 98165. That’s what I have on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 4 x 4 I need new struts so I was looking for an upgrade came across the NX2 struts 98166 is the part number I was just looking to see if these would fit on my truck thanks

Hi Russell, these NX2 struts are a direct replacement for the black #98165 struts previously offered. Similar to the older struts the new #98166 NX2 struts are sold as a pair.

hello I have a 4 inch BDS on a 2025 Sierra. I’m looking for replacement struts will these fit and give me an inch or so more upfront that I’m looking for? thanks in advance

Hey Arian,
These replacement struts will work on your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500, however they will net 6″ of lift. Everything in our lift kits is designed to function between 4-6″ of lift so you won’t have any issues there, you may just need to use a taller lift block in the rear to level out the stance. #98166

hello I installed my struts already they fit and feel just fine. my only other question if I can go to a bigger 37×13.5 tire on OEM stock 22s and not rub on the UCAs i know I may need a little trimming of anything ?? thanks for the help

Hey Arian, glad you were able to get the struts installed. While the additional height does offer more clearance, 37×13.50 is outside of our official recommendation to fit on 6″ of lift. Additionally the OE 22″ wheels have too large of a backspacing (BS) causing the 13.50 wide tire to rub (we recommend 4.5″ BS). A wheel spacer can help achieve a more preferred BS and and depending on your comfort level trimming the fenders and your intended use (on/off-road) it’s possible to fit 37s, but it’ll likely require some additional mods.
