Well it’s been about a week since BDS Suspension has made it home from the 46th annual Easter Jeep Safari. The stack of paper on my desk from being out all week is slimming down and I thought it was would be a good time to recap the weeks events filled with photo shoots, magazine events, long days out on the trail, great food & drinks, a huge vendor show and $200,000+ raffled off to event goers. Each year during the week leading up to Easter is taken over by thousands of 4wd enthusiasts looking for some off-road excitement. What started as a way to promote tourism to a new demographic has since developed into the Mecca of off-road with the Red Rock 4Wheelers taking the lead to host the event each year. While the event is called Easter Jeep Safari, it is not a Jeep exclusive event. Hundreds bring…

Not many events and/or off-road clubs can say they are celebrating their 50th annual gathering. But this weekend, in the Ocotillo Wells SRVA in southern California the Tierra Del Sol 4WD Club out of San Diego will be doing just that, as the host the 50th Annual Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari. The event is scheduled for March 2-4 at the Ocotillo Wels SRVA, between Borrego Springs and Salton Sea. Over the years the vehicles have changed, people have come and gone, and the venue has moved. Now in its 50th year, the event is well organized with on site obstacle park and  trail rides, product demonstrations, on site vendor show, and one of the largest raffles of any off-road event.  Last year over $155,000 in raffle items were collectively given away. BDS’s very own Jason Shellhaas will be hanging out showing off so cool new products and our JK…

New for 2012 is the Pentastar 3.6L in the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models. For those of you looking to lift your new 2012 JK, the factory exhaust crossover pipe is in close proximity to the front driveshaft limiting the amount of droop to about 2” before they come in contact with each other. To combat this problem BDS Suspension has developed exhaust extensions (#124314) to relocate the crossover pipe rearward allowing for addition clearance and full range of motion of the front driveshaft with 3” of lift.  The extensions are precision machined from 2.5” x .250” wall DOM tubing to fit the factory ball/taper seat connection properly for a leak-proof seal.  Thick-walled tubing is used to ensure the extension will not deform under extreme heat conditions.  Longer hardware is included to compensate for the added extension length and allow the reuse of the factory clamp collars. Installation is a…
