Taking home the Super Stock Championship crown for 2012, Ben Wandahsega continues to impress racing at 3 Fires Off-Road Park and other events within the U.P. Mud Drag Association. The ’12 Silverado bodied, ’78 Blazer chassis is powered by a 410c.i. 730hp motor, ATD Turbo 400 tranny, and 205 Kodiac t-case. Built Dana 44/12-Bolt axles running 4.56 Motive Gears with Ten Factory chromoly shafts put the power to the ground and a set of 4” BDS leaf springs and Fox Racing shocks allow clearance for 38” Boggers to clear the Boatec fiberglass body. Congrats Ben and for more info on the racing series, check out U.P. Mud Drag Association.

You may have seen photos of this rig from some of the events we attended over the last year. The chromed out BDS 4-link system seems to catch our attention each time we head to truck shows on the east coast. Out of Oxford, New Jersey, Doug Drukker has built this rig from the frame up paying plenty of attention to the details along the way. Among the long list of interior, exterior, and performance mods, this rig sports a chrome plated BDS 8” 4-link suspension lift, BDS dual shock hoop with Fox 2.0 shocks at each corner, and a chrome plated dual 9500 steering stabilizer rolling around on 38×15.50 Toyo M/Ts and 20×10 Fuel Hostages. Great build Doug and thanks for the photos!

Check out the 900+ hp BDS equipped Duramax in the pages of Diesel Power this month. This ’08 GMC Sierra 2500HD owned by Nils MacArthur is sporting a laundry list and a half worth of custom parts and bolt on accessories. Suspension comes in he form of a BDS 6″ lift kit (pre-high clearance no torsion bar drop kit), BDS SS skid plate, and BDS traction bars. The rig is primarily used up in the oil field of Alberta, Canada and is one bad ass ride for sure. Read the full feature on this truck in the Aug.’12 issue of Diesel Power Magazine on newsstands now.

Built in Texas and ready for Safari this ’01 Chevy Suburban isn’t your average soccer mom SUV. Outfitted with a Ranchhand bumpers, bedliner paint, safari cage and a a stripped down body. A BDS Suspension 4.5” high clearance lift kit and 33” BFGs  help provide extra height and improved ground clearance. Built by the crew over at Anthony’s Planet Pickup in San Antonio, TX this rig was raffled off at the Coastal Conservation Association’s Annual Banquet last week.

We love trolling the online forums, checking out project builds and offering up assistance when needed. We came across this cool CJ7 on GreatLakes4x4.com being built now with a BDS 4” leaf spring kit (#407H) and YJ spring conversion (#124021) and a variety of other parts. Follow along with the build thread as this CJ gets transformed into a worthy trail rig at GreatLakes4x4.com

Murphy’s Law is in effect, but the BDS sponsored race team of Desert Concepts found a way through it. After a nightmare of a week prepping the competition rig and support vehicles, the IFS buggy is mechanically prepped with the body and graphics getting fitted later today before making the short journey out into the desert for King of the Hammers (KOH). Competition starts Friday morning as the competition rigs take to the course to crown this year’s king. Make sure to cheer on JT Stephens and Bryan Grigsby in car #4454. If you’re out in the desert, make sure to stop by ORW’s tent and say hi to BDS Rep Jason Shellhaas.
