Pro Surfer Shane Dorian’s Expedition Tundra
We love to hear back from customers, finding out where they explore and how they use their BDS-equipped rides. We take pride in helping make your rides more capable and see what you can do with them. A few months back, pro surfer Shane Dorian picked up a new 2014 Toyota Tundra and outfitted it with a BDS 7” high clearance lift kit, 35” Nitto trail grapplers, 20” Monster wheels, Bushwacker flares. Living on the big island of Hawaii, Shane is constantly in pursuit of monster swells and his truck helps him get to many of remote locals off the beaten path. Shane sent in a few photos from his recent adventures along with this message: “I am loving the suspension on my Tundra. I’ve been on a tear the last couple of months since the lift was done- everything from camping in the mountains to accessing remote surf spots. Where…
US Army Search & Rescue HD
US Army Search & Rescue HD When it comes to building a US Army Search & Rescue truck to navigate the harsh rocky terrain of the Hawaiian islands, it needs to be a go anywhere, do anything type rig. When the guys at Island Performance & Offroad were given the task of outfitting this Chevy Silverado 2500HD to do just that their choice was the BDS 7″ Â high clearance lift kit for the strength of the components, additional ground clearance of the no torsion bar drop design, and the heavy duty skid plates to help protect the front end. The truck is also outfitted with 35×12.50 Toyo M/Ts, 17×9 XD Enduro wheels, camper shell w/ rack, dual batteries, Viair constant duty air system to run tools and equipment, and hydraulic pumps to run their soon to be installed winch and jaws-of-life. Its definitely a cool purpose built search & rescue…
Car Crushing ZJ and the BDS Warranty
Matt Parker’s not afraid of a challenge. He frequents Carnage Canyon and other spots around Colorado with his ’98 ZJ. The Jeep has more than a few things done to it with a spec sheet to include a BDS long arm kit (Olympus coilovers for 9” of lift), a bored and stroked AMC360, built 1-ton axles, and 39” TSLs. Matt’s got a soft spot for building ZJs as this Jeep came about out of the ruins of his last ZJ which met it’s demise after a 80mph head on collision. After rolling 3 times Matt walked away without injury, his Jeep on the other hand, didn’t fair so well. Matt took the BDS long arm kit and whatever else he could salvage and began building this new ZJ into the beast that it is today. The salvaged BDS 6.5” long arm was one of the first parts to be installed…
The Sheriff Approves… BDS Testimonial
We love hear back from customers on how you use and abuse your BDS-equipped rides. Recently we received an email from John Hildebrand of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office with this to say: I thought you might enjoy the attached pic of my work truck, which has a BDS 4 1/2 inch lift with 315/75R16 Wrangler Duratrac tires. I’ve had the lift for a couple years now and had no problems with it so far. It is a 2007 GMC Sierra HD2500 Duramax 4WD diesel. -John Hildebrand, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office
Great Kit, Great Warranty, Great Custom Service Testimonial
We never get tired hearing back from customers on where they explore in their BDS lifted trucks, what they thought of the products, the service, and their local BDS dealers. Ryan Prunty sent in this message on Facebook saying, Just wanted to say, I love your products! I had a ’95 F150 with your 6 inch suspension system sitting on Eagle Alloys and 35×12.50 Cooper STT’s and it was one mean truck! Everyone knew me as “the guy with that lifted F150” haha. Anyway, I thought I’d give you a little testimonial about one of the reasons I love your stuff so much. I bought the truck at 16 as my first vehicle. Had it for about 6 years, before I had a little accident in a snow storm. Slid off the road and hit a concrete curb that was buried in snow and bent the frame (and some of the…
