A week in the red rocks… 2012 Easter Jeep Safari Recap
Well it’s been about a week since BDS Suspension has made it home from the 46th annual Easter Jeep Safari. The stack of paper on my desk from being out all week is slimming down and I thought it was would be a good time to recap the weeks events filled with photo shoots, magazine events, long days out on the trail, great food & drinks, a huge vendor show and $200,000+ raffled off to event goers. Each year during the week leading up to Easter is taken over by thousands of 4wd enthusiasts looking for some off-road excitement. What started as a way to promote tourism to a new demographic has since developed into the Mecca of off-road with the Red Rock 4Wheelers taking the lead to host the event each year. While the event is called Easter Jeep Safari, it is not a Jeep exclusive event. Hundreds bring…
Moab Update: Fullsize Invasion takes over Poison Spider
Yesterday, April 4th, the Fullsize Invasion, as it’s being coined by the magazines took over Moab, or at least a small piece of the trail. The inaugural trail ride for fullsize trail rigs came about with the guys over at Four Wheeler and Off-Road Magazine decided it was time to shed some light on the numerous full size rigs that attend Easter Jeep Safari each year. For the first year organizing there was an impressive turnout with 20+ full size trail rigs (and tow rigs) making it out to run Poison Spider Mesa. Check out some some of the photos and keep an eye out for more in an upcoming issue of Four Wheeler Magazine.…

50th Annual Tierra Del Sol this weekend!
Not many events and/or off-road clubs can say they are celebrating their 50th annual gathering. But this weekend, in the Ocotillo Wells SRVA in southern California the Tierra Del Sol 4WD Club out of San Diego will be doing just that, as the host the 50th Annual Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari. The event is scheduled for March 2-4 at the Ocotillo Wels SRVA, between Borrego Springs and Salton Sea. Over the years the vehicles have changed, people have come and gone, and the venue has moved. Now in its 50th year, the event is well organized with on site obstacle park and  trail rides, product demonstrations, on site vendor show, and one of the largest raffles of any off-road event.  Last year over $155,000 in raffle items were collectively given away. BDS’s very own Jason Shellhaas will be hanging out showing off so cool new products and our JK…
KOH IFS Buggy | Desert Concepts
Murphy’s Law is in effect, but the BDS sponsored race team of Desert Concepts found a way through it. After a nightmare of a week prepping the competition rig and support vehicles, the IFS buggy is mechanically prepped with the body and graphics getting fitted later today before making the short journey out into the desert for King of the Hammers (KOH). Competition starts Friday morning as the competition rigs take to the course to crown this year’s king. Make sure to cheer on JT Stephens and Bryan Grigsby in car #4454. If you’re out in the desert, make sure to stop by ORW’s tent and say hi to BDS Rep Jason Shellhaas.
