SEMA Trucks: Todd’s Tundra Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There’s something for everyone’s taste from the insanely built and over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots. One of the trucks grabbing attention outside was Todd Headlee’s 2013 Toyota Tundra TRD. Representing Gibson’s Metal Mulisha exhaust line this TRD sports a variety of mods to help it perform out in the open desert terrain around Southern California. On the day of our photo shoot we spotted the Daley Visual Toyota about a mile off screaming down the highway to our shoot location in the Jean Dry Lakebed south of Vegas. What a year at SEMA… Record numbers, tons of new interest and a killer presence around the show, without a doubt one of our best years yet! This year marked our 5th year exhibiting at the SEMA looking back its amazing to see how far we’ve come since the company was founded 18 years ago. This year we teamed up with the other divisions of Sport Truck USA Inc (Zone Offroad Products, JKS Manufacturing, and Posi-Lok) to showcase new products and make some big announcements. The 25×80 booth space was transformed into a bar setting as we welcomed industry professionals, current dealers, and the media in for an ice cold beer and a casual conversation. Tundra Road Trip Across China
We heard from Michael Wang, owner of BATT Customs (Boys And Their Toys), a BDS-distributor out of Beijing, China about another crazy trip he took in his BDS 7” performance coil-over lift kit equipped Toyota Tundra. We get updates from him periodically from some of the places he explores. He’s had this truck for a number of years running the BDS 7” high clearance kit and recently upgraded to the Fox 2.5” coilovers. His most recent adventure took him and a friend (who also runs a BDS lift, 4.5” high clearance kit on his Tundra) from Beijing to Inner Mongolia and back again racking up more than 15,000 miles on each of the Tundras. Terrain was a mix of highway, rocky pathways, and muddy backcountry, with both Tundras coming out from the journey unscathed. Thanks for the update Michael, glad to hear things are doing well.
