Project Trucks: Cody’s Twin Turbo Duramax
Cody Yoder out of Toledo, Ohio has built one hell of a twin turbo Duramax. The truck has been several years in the making and for us at BDS, its a bit of a homecoming. You see this ’08 Chevy Silverado 2500HD started its transformation from your run of the mill stock LMM to the show stopper it is now in BDS’s R&D shop. The truck was used to design, engineer and test the new (at that time) 7” high clearance suspension system for ’01-10 HDs. Following our stint with the truck it did as most new trucks do and headed to the dealer lot where it was bought and sold a few times until 2012 when Cody was tipped off that the truck was available and picked it up for his daily driver. SEMA Trucks: Freedom Fighter turned Big Thug Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots. US Army Search & Rescue HD When it comes to building a US Army Search & Rescue truck to navigate the harsh rocky terrain of the Hawaiian islands, it needs to be a go anywhere, do anything type rig. When the guys at Island Performance & Offroad were given the task of outfitting this Chevy Silverado 2500HD to do just that their choice was the BDS 7″ Â high clearance lift kit for the strength of the components, additional ground clearance of the no torsion bar drop design, and the heavy duty skid plates to help protect the front end. The truck is also outfitted with 35×12.50 Toyo M/Ts, 17×9 XD Enduro wheels, camper shell w/ rack, dual batteries, Viair constant duty air system to run tools and equipment, and hydraulic pumps to run their soon to be installed winch and jaws-of-life.
