Now available from BDS Suspension, heavy duty adjustable front track bars for the 2017-2018 Ford Super Duty 4WD trucks. Designed to laterally position the front end under trucks, these adjustable track bars allow proper recentering of the front axle at a range of lift heights.
The new BDS adjustable track bars are built to take the use and abuse that Super Duty owners demand and are backed by BDS's no fine print warranty. Constructed from 1-3/8" solid steel stock, the track bar features fine threads and a pinch bolt style center turnbuckle to allow superior clamping and easy adjustment with the track bar installed on the vehicle.
The track bar is formed to mimic the OE shape for proper clearance and will fit both stock and lifted vehicles that use the original track bar mounts and/or drop brackets. The ends come machined, fully welded and gusseted for added strength. At the frame end, the bar uses greaseable, high-durometer polyurethane bushings for quiet operation. On the axle side you'll find a heavy duty ball joint pre-installed for quick easy installation.
These new adjustable track bars are a smart upgrade for late model Ford Super Duty trucks to fit both stock and lifted applications. They can be purchased separately or as an option in many BDS Super Duty lift kits. Additionally they will work with most other lift kits on the market. The bar is designed to be adjustable between 0-4" of lift or used in combination with a track bar bracket to larger lift kits. Upgrade your new Super Duty with the heavy duty adjustable track bar from BDS Suspension.

Don Fenton and his crew at Off Road Outlaw Fabrication in Lexington, NC came to the 2017 SEMA Show to make a statement. They’ve built some cool builds in the past, but they pulled out all of the stops on this 2017 Ford F350 Super Duty Dually Diesel. Among the laundry list of mods this truck features a BDS 8″ 4-Link DSC Coilover System with BDS dual stabilizers and Recoil traction bars, Magnum uFit bumpers-grille-steps, and 40″ Toyo M/Ts on 22″ Mayhem wheels. Check out the video for more on this Super Duty and keep an eye out for it in upcoming publications with SEMA coverage.
After a couple months designing, cutting, building and modifying the truck was delivered to Butler Auto Body to get painted and the suspension parts were sent to powdercoat. At first there is a weird sense of anxiety and relief as the build is out of our hands at the moment and in the capable hands of Butler Auto Body to lay down some color. That relief quickly changed to work as the team is also responsible for designing and building all the new product displays and both props needs for our booth (#30192) at the 2017 SEMA Show. Switching gears the team built a 15ft wide modular bar for us to serve drinks, TV racks to keep everyone entertained and several new products displays to debut some of our latest and greatest to the world…
Butler Body Shop made quick work of the body, prepping and painting it in a super cool orange by PPG paints from their Smart ForTwo collection known as Night Orange Metallic (CD3L / EAK). From interior to exterior, the team took on painting the body and bumpers to the interior panels and emblems implementing an Metallic Orange – Satin Gray – Gloss Black color scheme that tied everything together from the gray/black/orange of the suspension parts to the black interior with orange/gray accents and everywhere else. The color is something else, super bright and it changes depending on the lighting.
With the truck back from paint the team got back to work on final assembly. Up first was fitting the suspension and axles so we could get this back to being a rolling chassis. The BDS front 4-link arms and rear trailing arm setup is finished in a gray powdercoat and custom BDS badges added. The shock situation on this truck is under control with FOX 2.5 DSC Coilovers at each corner along with FOX 3.0 quadruple bypass shocks allowing infinite adjustment and tuning possibilities to dial in the performance of this truck. From there the team worked on routing brake lines, running wires and completely reassembling the truck inside and out. Being that the chassis has been shortened we turned to our friends at JE Reel for a custom set of front and rear heavy duty driveshafts to get this truck mobile again. Inside the PRP seats/harnesses, Kicker audio system, and Magellan GPS were reinstalled along with the center console for the last time. Inner fenders were fitted one last time and fenders were bolted back on. On the performance side the team added to the S&B cold air intake mounted before paint with a Diamond Eye Performance DPF-back custom exhaust and an EZ LYNK programmer. The ROgue Racing enforcer bumper is modular with the center section getting fitted first housing the Warn Zeon 12S winch and Factor 55 fairlead and flatlink E. From there the 40″ Rigid RDS light bar is added to the center and a set pf 4 Rigid Radiance lights with amber backlight are added to the Rogue bumper wings to finish off the off the look. Last up is wheels and tires… to keep this truck true to its Raptor inspired roots we’re going with a tires synonymous with Baja racing, the BF Goodrich Baja TA KR2-S in a 42×14.50×20 size. These will be mounted on a set of 2-piece 20×11 Stazworks Cheyenne 8 wheels in our 10on225mm bolt pattern. We’re excited to show you the final product, stay tuned for the official unveiling of this truck coming soon…

BDS builds on the success of their 4" radius arm system for the redesigned 2017 Ford Super Duty with new FOX 2.5 remote reservoir coilover options to take the truck's comfort, performance and capability to the next level. Available as a complete 4"coilover system or as an upgrade for current 4" equipped trucks, these new 4" suspension options from BDS and FOX are built to perform right out of the box.
BDS 4" Radius Arm Systems: These new 4" systems are built off the tried and true BDS radius arm design built to take whatever abuse you can throw at it. Up front a pair of heavy duty replacement radius arms are supplied to correct caster, improve ground clearance, and offer more strength than the factory stamped steel units. These arms are built from 1-3/4" OD -10GA DOM tubing with support gussets and are formed inward to allow for additional clearance of oversized tires. They incorporate factory style 3-1/4" rubber bushings to minimize road vibrations and allow for a long, maintenance-free bushing life. These work in combination with the specially tuned FOX 2.5 factory series remote reservoir coilovers. These coilovers are preset right out of the box for optimal performance with the weight of the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine and are an easy install using the supplied frame and axle mounting brackets. Moving onto the steering, the steering correction comes from a forged drop pitman arm with integrated a drag link flip. Also supplied is a 1/4" thick gusseted track bar drop bracket to recenter the front axle and keep the angles in phase for improved handling. Also included for the front suspension are a pair of sway bar relocation brackets, bump stop extensions, brake line relocation brackets, auxiliary FOX 2.0 performance series IFP shocks and upgraded steering stabilizer with mounting bracket. Out back a 5" fabricated block with integrated bump stop wing is used in place of the factory block on the F250 or F350 to level the stance. Longer black e-coated u-bolts and matching FOX 2.0 IFP shocks round out this 4" radius arm lift kit. Take your new 2017 Super Duty to the next level with BDS Suspension.
4" Coilover Upgrade Kit: For 2017 Super Duty owners already outfitted with a standard 4" lift kit, BDS offers an upgrade option to allow you to take your Super Duty to the next level in performance. Designed to work with BDS and most other kits on the market, this upgrade features specially tuned FOX 2.5 factory series remote reservoir coilovers designed for the diesel equipped trucks. These coilovers come prebuilt for 4" of lift and are ready to install right out of the box. They use a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs, 6061-T6 billet aluminum ends and specially formulated race proven oil. The threaded body is easily adjustable (using #129600 spanner wrench) to dial in ride height to compensate for accessories like heavy winch bumpers. Also included are heavy duty upper and lower mounting brackets that bolt into the factory coil bucket and lower axle mount for easy installation with no welding required. The upper brackets integrate a mount to secure the remote reservoir.
When we last left off BDS’s Project Ascension had just been finished up and BDS’s Nate gave a walk around of the truck in the studio before we loaded it up in the rain and headed West for the cross country road trip in route to Las Vegas forth 2016 SEMA Show. Packed full of displays, new products, and promotional materials this 2017 Ford Super Duty had a date with destiny where it was slated to debut in the BDS booth #30204 at SEMA. We hit the road Wednesday night to push through the night for the first leg of our 30hr haul out to Vegas. The truck road amazing despite all the gear loaded in the bed and backseat and the canvas top kept everything dry for the drive out. Along the way the crew made a few stops to see BDS dealers and show off the new company whip. Everyone that took a turn behind the wheel gave the seal of approval saying they loved the design and ride quality this new 6″ 4-link coilover system offered; we’re excited to get this kit out to market soon so others can see the BDS difference.
With us making good time on our way out we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hit the trails in our favorite wheeling spot, good ‘ol Moab, UT. Over the years its become almost initiation for any of the BDS SEMA builds to hit the trail in Moab before getting debuted at SEMA. While we’re not tackling the toughest obstacles that Moab has to offer, Hell’s Revenge and 7-Mile Rim trails offer challenging terrain to test out this new truck’s capability. Even loaded down with the gear this truck performed flawlessly and the 38″ Nittos offered plenty of traction on the red rocks before we got back on the highway where they offered a smooth quiet ride for the last leg of the highway cruise out to Vegas.
We made it into Vegas Saturday late afternoon and got underway with setup for the 2016 SEMA Show with Project Ascension the buzz among everyone that stopped by the booth. Stay tuned the recap from SEMA 2016 and for more on how this build came together in just a few short weeks check out the build thread complete with writeups, build sheet, progress photos and videos at BDS Project Ascension – ’17 Ford Super Duty.
Along the way the crew posted several updates on Facebook and Instagram from the road and out on the trail, check them out at #projectascension. Stay tuned for more updates on this truck as it hits the trails and continues to be built up with new products to improve the trucks performance, capability and styling.
The countdown is on, just a few short weeks until the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and we’ve got a long wayto go building Project Ascension, our new 2017 Ford Super Duty. With tons of aftermarket components still in route to the shop the focus this week was prototyping the new suspension, after all this truck is a test truck for us. For this truck the plan is to build a suspension system ready to hit the trail while still comfortable on the road. For that we’re building a 6″ 4-Link Conversion System for this truck along with FOX DSC Coilover Upgrade, FOX shocks and stabilizers, along with RECOIL traction bars. While there are some similarities between the 2005-2016 and the 2017, the bulk of the suspension is a redesign to achieve optimal suspension geometry and performance. When finished, this 6″ C/O System will make room for 38×13.50×20 Nitto Trail Grappler tires on 20×10 XD Machette wheels.
From here we’ll be finishing up the suspension install, bolting on a set of one-off aluminum Fusion bumpers to match out “aluminum theme”, adding the Baja Designs LED lighting, mounting up the Warn winch, installing the Bushwacker flares and Amp Research powersteps, build a rack system to go over our Bestop Supertop along with other odds and ends. Stay tuned for the next update, the build is about to come together fast. Check out the latest update video on YouTube.
