Coldwater, MI: The latest addition to BDS Suspension's lineup for the 2017 Ford Super Duty are new 8" 4-link coilover systems allowing Ford owners to take their trucks to new heights with clearance for up to 40" tires. These new 8" 4-link coilover systems join the current 1", 2", 2.5",  4", 6" and 8" lift options offering a wide range of lift systems and accessories to outfit your late model Super Duty These new 8" coilover systems use a heavy duty front 4-link control arm conversion to upgrade the factory stamped steel radius arms for improved strength, handling, and caster control. This setup is based off BDS's tried and true 4-link setup keying off the factory radius arm frame mount and ties into the frame rail and transmission crossmember for an extremely rigid control arm mount. The brackets are build from high strength 1/4" steel, come fully welded and finished in a durable textured black powdercoat with riveted BDS nameplates.  The upper and lower control arms are built from heavy wall 2" OD DOM steel tubing with massive 2-1/2" greaseable  frame mount bushings and reinforced clevis mounts to attach at the axle.

In place of the factory coil springs these system upgrade to a pair of specially tuned FOX 2.5 factory series remote reservoir coilovers to take your Super Duty to the next level. The coilovers feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy 2.5" body with threaded exterior for preload adjustment, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs, black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts and FOX's optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology built into the remote reservoir. DSC allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle's suspension compression dampening so you can dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the "blue" high speed and "gold" low speed compression knobs located on the end of the remote reservoir of the FOX 2.5 coilovers. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. These coilovers come preset right out of the box to provide 8" of lift and are valved for optimal performance with the weight of the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine. Installation is a breeze using the supplied frame and axle mounting brackets. Paired to these FOX coilovers are a set of auxiliary FOX 2.0 IFP performance gas shocks to mount into the factory location to further enhance damper performance for a smooth ride on any terrain.

For steering correction a forged drop pitman arm and heavy duty track bar relocation bracket are supplied. This brings the drag link angle closer to factory and keeps the steering angles in line with the relocated track bar for improved drivability and a recentered front axle. Also supplied for the front are bump stop extensions to limit suspension compression, sway bar drop brackets to correct the sway bar positioning, replacement NX2 steering stabilizer and extended length braided stainless steel brake lines. The new front driveline design requires correction when installing the 8" lift to retain use of 4WD at any speed. To do this BDS supplies a high strength transfer case indexing ring specific to the 8" systems to rotate the front output of the transfer case down to improve the front driveline operating angle. The indexing ring uses ARP studs and includes new mounting hardware. BDS also supplies a heavy duty replacement transmission crossmember and new transfer case mounting bracket for additional clearance.

In the rear of these 8" systems BDS supplies full replacement Glideride leaf springs to provide full lift height and increased capacity with a built in overload spring. Finishing off the rear of this kit is a rear brake line relocation bracket as well as a pair of matching FOX 2.0 gas shocks to compliment the front setup for all around impressive performance.  These new 8" 4-link systems allow for clearance of 38-40" tires. Coldwater, MI: Joining the ranks of BDS Suspension's full lineup of 1-8" suspension lifts for the 2017-2019 Ford Super Duty trucks are now 2.5" radius arm systems designed to provide a modest lift to improve your trucks appearance while improving its strength and overall performance. Designed to allow fitment 35" tires, this system lifts and levels the stance.

Up front the dual rate ProRide front coil springs are supplied for a comfortable ride and impressive performance on or offroad paired with your choice of specifically tuned BDS NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 performance series gas shocks. In place of the factory stamped steel arms this kit upgrades to heavy duty BDS radius arms built from 1-3/4" OD heavy wall tubing with gussets. These arms feature a large frame mount bushing to isolate NHVs and bolt in place of the stock arms.  The heavy wall tubular construction improves strength while correcting axle position by way of lower cam slots to correction set caster at a range of lift heights. Also upgraded as part of these new 2.5" systems is a high strength replacement track bar designed to recenter the front axle with the lift installed. This new bar is built from 1-3/8" solid steel stock with gusseted ends and a fine thread center pinch bolt. It comes pre-assembled and ready to bolt into the factory location to adjust the length. At one end these use a greaseable, high-durometer polyurethane bushing for quiet operation and the other end a heavy duty ball joint. Rounding out the front of these kits are front brake line relocation brackets to allow enough slack in the lines for offroad use.

In the rear, these kits use a 4" replacement lift block and new black e-coated u-bolts to net a level stance without the need to stack blocks to do it. These block integrate a rear bump stop wing to correctly limit suspension up travel and allow you to retain the factory rear springs to not effect ride or tow capacity. Matching rear NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 performance series gas shocks are supplied to compliment the front and finish off this kit. Just in case you were having withdrawals from Project SD126, the BDS team is back with a fresh video showing off a build recap on this Super Duty along with the latest updates and where you can check out the truck next.

Among the notable upgrades since this truck rolled on the stage in Ford’s booth at SEMA the truck received some additional upgrades in the lighting department with custom dual HID headlight units from HIDprojectors.com featuring engraved SD126 projectors and a mean orange glow. Elsewhere around the truck we gave the truck a good once over cleaning and touching up since our desert testing to get it ready for the 2018 show season which starts with the Chicago Auto Show Feb 10-19, 2018.

If you can’t make it out to Chicago Auto Show don’t you worry, it’ll be making the rounds at numerous trade shows and events this year, we’ll have updates with where you can check it out soon. Now available from BDS Suspension, heavy duty adjustable front track bars for the 2017-2018 Ford Super Duty 4WD trucks. Designed to laterally position the front end under trucks, these adjustable track bars allow proper recentering of the front axle at a range of lift heights.

The new BDS adjustable track bars are built to take the use and abuse that Super Duty owners demand and are backed by BDS's no fine print warranty. Constructed from 1-3/8" solid steel stock, the track bar features fine threads and a pinch bolt style center turnbuckle to allow superior clamping and easy adjustment with the track bar installed on the vehicle.

The track bar is formed to mimic the OE shape for proper clearance and will fit both stock and lifted vehicles that use the original track bar mounts and/or drop brackets. The ends come machined, fully welded and gusseted for added strength. At the frame end, the bar uses greaseable, high-durometer polyurethane bushings for quiet operation. On the axle side you'll find a heavy duty ball joint pre-installed for quick easy installation.

These new adjustable track bars are a smart upgrade for late model Ford Super Duty trucks to fit both stock and lifted applications. They can be purchased separately or as an option in many BDS Super Duty lift kits. Additionally they will work with most other lift kits on the market. The bar is designed to be adjustable between 0-4" of lift or used in combination with a track bar bracket to larger lift kits.
