Along with prepping the booth displays, prepping new products, and scheduling meetings for the week of SEMA, this year the BDS team is working on a last minute truck build to serve as one of the featured booth vehicles for us at the show. While SEMA is full of over the top builds, crazy paint jobs and and more LED lights than one could ever need, the BDS team was looking to build a capable, practical, and  reliable truck that is at much at home on the trail as it is on the road. While the BDS F250 and Project Slate have been excellent trucks, able to tackle the terrain or reliably tow a trailer across country at a moments notice, we had a need to show off some of our newest components for the GM trucks. Last month we picked up the newest vehicle to join the BDS fleet, a black…

The BDS Project KJ just got some new bling from our friends at Factor 55. We’ve been running their prolink winch thimble for years now without any failures. While its performed great and got us out our fair share of tight spots hooked up to our Warn 9.5xp winch, the fairlead opening was too small to allow the winch cable to be synched in fully leaving us to hook the prolink to one of the d-rings which block our Rigid LEDs up front. The solution, one of Factor 55‘s short drum comp fairleads in gun metal gray along with the Flatlink E to match. Its a great looking combo, tough as nails, and extremely compact. We’re excited to hit the trails, who wants to go wheeling!?

This past week BDS suspension was fortunate enough get involved on the Week O Wheeling (WOW, for short) event put on by Moab Offroad of Louisville, Kentucky. This year marked Max, the owner of Moab Offroad’s 10th annual WOW event, and it really showed in his awesome selection of trails and crazy surprises randomly thrown in when you would least expect it! The event has an Ultimate Adventure feel to it with a “run what you brung” mentality to build a rig wheel your rig, fix your rig if it breaks and drive to the next stop on the week long adventure. Moab Offroad has been a BDS distributor for year’s and this year we teamed up as title sponsor for the event to bring a video of all the action to you in conjunction with Zero to 60 Media. The event started Saturday morning at Chinquipin Off Road Park in Tennessee and started…

Project trucks can come in many forms. Some a garage built weekend warriors, while others are purpose built. Some will spend their life on the trail while others may be mall crawled and built to showcase new and innovative products at SEMA. For the BDS #everydaychase F250 it started life a bit differently. The first 3 years of its life was spent as your average daily driven diesel tow rig. The 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty Lariat was sold at auction where we purchased it and had it delivered to the offices of RTM Productions, home of PowerNation TV and more specifically Ian Johnson of the popular 4×4 build show Xtreme Offroad. Ian had big plans for the truck and wanted to show his audience how to build a bad ass chase truck inspired daily driver built primarily from easy to find bolt-on components. After taking delivery, Ian made some calls to order parts for the build.…

It’s getting down to the wire for Kevin Stearns and the Pacific Fabrication crew with a little over a week to finish up the build up before they hit the road for the secret start point of the 2015 Ultimate Adventure. If you haven’t heard how this build came together to represent BDS Suspension on #ua2015 check out the UA Winner! article along with finding out more about the plans at Crawlorado build plans and Update #1. With less than 2 months to complete the transformation (all the while managing the shop’s day to day business), the crew at Pacific Fabrication set out to tear down their shop truck, a timid looking beige 2011 Chevy Colorado with a healthy 5.3L V8 under the hood. In the last update we hit on the steering mods, front suspension, and axle upgrades. In this update we’re hitting on their progress to fabricate front and rear bumpers, buttoning up the…

Pete Costanzo is no stranger to the automotive aftermarket. He’s been building bad ass vehicles for over 15 years with several show quality builds to his name including Project Charcoal Stroke and BDS equipped Super Duty that turned heads everywhere it went. Last year, in preparation for the 2014 SEMA Show, Pete came up with the plan to build his newest ride dubbed Project Bad Influence, an over the top 2012 RAM 2500 to stand out from the rest. With less than a 6-month build timeline Pete got to work enlisting the crew over at Street 2 Sand Performance to help with the buildup.  The end result is something worth a long hard second look. Starting off with the paint, the truck went to Elite Customs where it received a custom white, candy red, and black paint job that pops in the sunlight. Under all that paint this truck has a ton of…
