Coldwater, MI: With an all new truck comes an all new suspension. BDS is excited to announce new 6” IFS systems for the all new 2019 GMC Denali 1500 trucks. These systems are based off the widely popular lift systems for the redesigned 2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks, now specially designed for compatibility with Adaptive Ride Control, this system is standard on new Denali 1500 models. Based off the tried and true high clearance technology this new 6” IFS system retains the on road comfort and handling Denali owners have come to expect while improving ground clearance, offering more offroad protection and allowing clearance for 35” tires. While some companies build “kits” to fit larger tires, BDS Suspension prides itself in engineering complete suspension systems designed to take your vehicle’s performance to the next level while retaining OE-level functionality. Case in point the (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s FMVSS No.126 compliance standards requiring any aftermarket modification to not adversely effect the vehicle's electronic stability control (ESC) system performance in the event of an evasive maneuver. These new kits have been independently tested and certified compliant to these standards with 35” tires.

At the heart of this new 6” system BDS utilizes a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the 3-piece heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS’s multipoint relocation bracket system tying into the frame and control arm pockets to further secure the front differential to keep CV axle angles at a minimum.  Additional ride height on this particular kit comes from a set of top mounted steel fabricated strut spacers to mount onto the factory Adaptive Ride Control strut assemblies along with new sensor brackets to retain functionality of the system. These allow for quick-simple installation without the need to disassemble the factory struts and retain the OE ride quality. A pair of BDS-branded sway bar drop brackets used to correct the operating angle of the factory sway bar as well as created a strong brace between the rear crossmember and the frame. Rounding out the front of this kit are new lower control arm cam bolts to allow alignment and a weld-in frame reinforcement plate for extra strength.

In the rear of this 6” lift system, the factory block is replaced with a 5” lift block and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance. Also supplied are brake line and ABS line brackets allow the retain use of factory brake lines. Rounding out this kit is a set of rear shocks extension brackets to correct shock positioning and retain functionality with the rear Adaptive Ride Control shocks. All kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat and sent with all hardware packs to complete the install along with step-by-step installation instructions. At the heart of these new systems BDS utilizes the tried and true high-clearance IFS design that has made BDS the preferred suspension lift for late model GMs. This consists of a pair of newly designed 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers and differential skid plate to reposition the lower arms while adding underbody protection and strength. These combined with the specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles allow this system to maintain proper geometry for ESC system compatibility. Up front the kits use a multipoint differential relocation kit and to securely reposition the front differential to correct CV axle operating angle and allow use of the stock front driveshaft with the supplied boot spacer. Along with retaining the factory geometry, factory ride quality is maintained at the new height using a set of BDS branded top mounted strut spacers allowing for quick and easy installation. Rounding out the front of this kit are heavy duty steering tie rod ends to work with the new knuckle assemblies, longer sway bar links and sway bar drop brackets to correct operating angle, brake line brackets and a BDS front skid plate.

In the rear of this 8” lift system, the factory block is replaced with a 6” fabricated block, add-a-leaf and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance. These blocks are ultra strong, specially designed with an offset pin to recenter the axle along with an integrated bump stop wing to properly limit suspension compression. Also included, BDS supplies brake line brackets allow the use of factory brake lines and a pair of specially tuned NX2 nitro series shocks are supplied to round out the rear of the kits. These kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat, all hardware is provided along with step-by-step installation instructions. RECOIL Traction Bars: BDS Suspension adds to its lineup of vehicle specific mounting solutions for revolutionary RECOIL traction bar setups with new mounting kits specifically designed for the 2017+ Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks. These new mounting brackets expand on existing fitment listings to include trucks fitted with both the 3.5", 4", and 4.5" diameter rear axle assemblies. This new mounting kit supersedes the previously listed #123417 mounting kit to broaden fitment listings and allow bolt-on installation. At the frame hole are drilled to secure the bracket to the frame while at the axle the brackets are secured to the leaf spring u-bolts. With the brackets installed a set of the RECOIL traction bars can be bolted in place offering improved traction and the freedom to adjust the internal spring tension for optimal performance on-road, off-road, towing, or competition pulling. These traction bars can be used on stock height or lifted trucks and work with both lift blocks and replacement leaf spring kits. They use a full floating design that won't bind up allowing the full range of wheel travel without limiting articulation.

These new RECOIL traction bars are built to the highest standards for the ultimate performance on and off-road. The bars are fabricated from 2" OD x 3/16'' wall steel tubing with a threaded bung welded in toward the axle and a CNC machined end at the frame. The axle mount uses the tried and true BDS large forged flex end and jam nut to take whatever abuse you throw at it. Utilizing a forged housing with large 1-1/4" -12 threaded shank, a single sided snap ring and 1-piece flex ball, the flex ends are capable of up to 15-degrees of misalignment in either direction. At the frame end the bar uses a durometer specific polyurethane bushing and free floats in the traction bar utilizing a pair of dual stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings. The main spring has a 3000lb spring rate. Both ends are greaseable and serviceable. Fully assembled the RECOIL traction bars are 60" long and mount to the vehicle using fabricated 1/4" steel brackets. Bracket kits are vehicle specific. The frame brackets install by drilling mounting holes for the brackets while the axle brackets install over the factory u-bolt plates. The traction bars and mounting brackets use a durable gloss black powdercoat finish.

To adjust spring tension, use the supplied spanner wrenches at the axle to loosen the jam nut. From there the main bar can be rotated to load or unload the springs at the frame side of the bar. Using the concave end of the wrench handle against the frame end check the location of the end of the main bar in relation to the notches on the wrench to verify the load on the springs, the shorter the distance the more loaded the springs are. Repeat this process on the other traction bar and use the wrenches to tighten down the jam nuts and you are ready to go! Fully assembled the RECOIL traction bars are 60" long and mount to the vehicle using fabricated 1/4" steel brackets. Bracket kits are vehicle specific. The frame brackets install by drilling mounting holes for the brackets while the axle brackets install over the factory bolt plates. The traction bars and mounting brackets use a durable gloss black powdercoat finish.

These new RECOIL traction bars are built to the highest standards featuring quick and easy adjustment while installed on the vehicle. To adjust spring tension, use the supplied spanner wrenches at the axle to loosen the jam nut. From there the main bar can be rotated to load or unload the springs at the frame side of the bar. Using the concave end of the wrench handle against the frame end check the location of the end of the main bar in relation to the notches on the wrench to verify the load on the springs, the shorter the distance the more loaded the springs are. Repeat this process on the other traction bar and use the wrenches to tighten down the jam nuts and you are ready to go!
