In stock and shipping now, these 6” IFS lift systems are based around the tried and true high clearance technology offering for improved on road and offroad performance and handling with clearance for up to 37” tires. While some other companies build "kits” with the goal to simply fit larger tires, BDS Suspension prides itself in engineering complete suspension systems designed to take your vehicle's performance to the next level while retaining OE-level functionality. Case in point the (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's FMVSS No.126 compliance standards requiring any aftermarket modification to not adversely effect the vehicle's electronic stability control (ESC) system performance in the event of an evasive maneuver. These new kits have been independently tested and certified compliant with these standards with up to 37" tires [as tested on 37x12.50 Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tires on 20x9 Black Rhino wheels w/ 5.5" BS]. Additionally special care was taken to allow all BDS kits to allow reinstallation of the factory 20” wheels with the lift installed if you choose to do so.

Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 (6" Kits): BDS Suspension is offering 6” IFS Systems for the 2019-2020 Chevy Silveardo 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks. Designed for improved off-road performance while maintaining on-road comfort, these kits have been engineered to the highest standard and utilize the tried and true high clearance technology that has made BDS the go to for GM suspension lifts. At the heart of these new lift systems BDS utilizes a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the 3-piece heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system tying into the frame and control arm pockets to further secure the front differential to keep CV axle angles at a minimum. Additional ride height comes with 6” top mounted steel fabricated strut spacer to mount onto the factory strut assemblies. These allow for quick-simple installation without the need to disassemble the factory struts and retain the OE ride quality. A pair of BDS-branded sway bar drop brackets used to correct the operating angle of the factory sway bar as well as created a strong brace between the rear crossmember and the frame. Rounding out the front of this kit are new lower control arm cam bolts to allow alignment and a weld-in frame reinforcement plate for extra strength.

In the rear of these 6” lift systems, the factory block is replaced with either a 5" lift block and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance to the front. Also included, BDS supplies brake line and ABS line brackets allow the use of factory brake lines along with your choice of specially tuned rear NX2 nitro series gas shocks or FOX 2.0 IFP performance gas shocks. The 6" kits allow for up to 37s.

Trail Boss / AT4 (4" Kits): Factory equipped with about a 2” lift, the Trail Boss and AT4 models utilize longer struts and a factory rear lift block over the standard Silverado/Sierra 1500 trucks. BDS integrates this factory strut lift to offer an additional 4” lift system (final ride height is similar standard SIlverado/Sierra with a 6” lift kit). These 4” lift systems are designed to maximize ground clearance while correcting the suspension-steering-driveline geometry. Similar to the standard Silverado/Sierra kits these utilize high clearance crossmembers, heavy duty skid plates, ductile iron steeling knuckles, multipoint differential relocation, and sway bar relocation along with 4” strut spacers and replacement 5” rear lift blocks to level the stance with room for 35-37” tires.

Denali 1500 (6" Kits): Building off the foundation of the 6” IFS System kits listed above BDS Suspension are also offered for the late model GMC Denali 1500 trucks with Adaptive Ride Control (ARC). Along with the standard high clearance crossmembers, heavy duty skid plates, ductile iron steeling knuckles, multipoint differential relocation, sway bar relocation, 6” strut spacer and rear 5” lift blocks these kits include ARC sensor relocation brackets for the front and ARC shocks extension brackets for the rear. This allows full functionality of the ARC system and clearance for up to 35” tires.

These new suspension systems offer even more tire clearance and are designed to improved your truck's offroad capability. At the heart of these new systems BDS utilizes the tried and true high-clearance IFS design that has made BDS the preferred suspension lift for late model GMs. This consists of a pair of newly designed 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers and differential skid plate to reposition the lower arms while adding underbody protection and strength. These combined with the specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles allow this system to maintain proper geometry for ESC system compatibility. Up front the kits use a multipoint differential relocation kit and to securely reposition the front differential to correct CV axle operating angle and allow use of the stock front driveshaft with the supplied boot spacer. Along with retaining the factory geometry, factory ride quality is maintained at the new height using a set of BDS branded top mounted strut spacers allowing for quick and easy installation. Rounding out the front of this kit are heavy duty steering tie rod ends to work with the new knuckle assemblies, longer sway bar links and sway bar drop brackets to correct operating angle, brake line brackets and a BDS front skid plate.

In the rear of this 8” lift system, the factory block is replaced with a 6” fabricated block, add-a-leaf and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance. These blocks are ultra strong, specially designed with an offset pin to recenter the axle along with an integrated bump stop wing to properly limit suspension compression. Also included, BDS supplies brake line brackets allow the use of factory brake lines and a pair of specially tuned NX2 nitro series shocks are supplied to round out the rear of the kits. These kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat, all hardware is provided along with step-by-step installation instructions. These new mounting brackets expand on existing fitment listings to include trucks fitted with both the 3.5", 4", and 4.5" diameter rear axle assemblies. This new mounting kit supersedes the previously listed #123417 mounting kit to broaden fitment listings and allow bolt-on installation. At the frame hole are drilled to secure the bracket to the frame while at the axle the brackets are secured to the leaf spring u-bolts. With the brackets installed a set of the RECOIL traction bars can be bolted in place offering improved traction and the freedom to adjust the internal spring tension for optimal performance on-road, off-road, towing, or competition pulling. These traction bars can be used on stock height or lifted trucks and work with both lift blocks and replacement leaf spring kits. They use a full floating design that won't bind up allowing the full range of wheel travel without limiting articulation.

These new RECOIL traction bars are built to the highest standards for the ultimate performance on and off-road. The bars are fabricated from 2" OD x 3/16'' wall steel tubing with a threaded bung welded in toward the axle and a CNC machined end at the frame. The axle mount uses the tried and true BDS large forged flex end and jam nut to take whatever abuse you throw at it. Utilizing a forged housing with large 1-1/4" -12 threaded shank, a single sided snap ring and 1-piece flex ball, the flex ends are capable of up to 15-degrees of misalignment in either direction. At the frame end the bar uses a durometer specific polyurethane bushing and free floats in the traction bar utilizing a pair of dual stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings. The main spring has a 3000lb spring rate. Both ends are greaseable and serviceable. Fully assembled the RECOIL traction bars are 60" long and mount to the vehicle using fabricated 1/4" steel brackets. Bracket kits are vehicle specific. A few months back BDS Suspension introduced the 6.5" coilover conversion high clearance systems, the latest performance option for the 2011-2017 Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra/Denali HD trucks giving next level of performance and comfort to truck owners. These systems allows HD owners the ability to eliminate the rough riding traditional torsion bar suspension in favor of FOX 2.5 factory series remote DSC coilovers and combines them with the tried and true BDS high clearance IFS systems to truely unmatched performance on and offroad. For trucks already equipped with the non-coilover BDS 4.5" and 6.5" High Clearance Systems BDS is now offering an upgrade kit with all the components needed to convert over to the 6.5" coilover setup.

These coilovers offer vastly superior dampening for impressive capability to soak up the harshest terrains offroad while offering comfort on your daily commute. These FOX coilovers feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened stainless steel shaft, FOX coil springs, black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts and FOX’s DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology. The DSC adjustment allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle’s suspension compression dampening to dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the "blue" high speed and "gold" low speed compression knobs located on the end of the remote reservoir of the FOX 2.5 coilovers. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. The coilovers come fully assembled, preset for 6.5" of lift for optimal wheel travel. To mount the coilovers BDS supplies a bolt-on bracket that installs on the frame in the shock mount location. A weld-in support gusset is used to reinforce the upper mount, however still allows the kit to be completely reversible if the owner ever chooses to revert back to the torsion bar style suspension and upgrade the suspension on another truck.

In addition to replacing the factory torsion bars, the upper and lower control arms are upgraded to improved strength, travel, and accommodate the new coilovers. The uppers are the new performance upper control arms designed specifically for this system to integrate with the 2.5 coilovers. The arms are fabricated from large 1.5" OD x .120-wall chromoly tubing, fully TIG welded for the highest quality, strength and durability. The arms utilize premium Moog brand ball joints and factory style rubber bushings for smooth, quiet operation and superior durability when compared to arms with uni-balls, poly bushings or heims. The ball joint cups are repositioned for optimal performance allowing a 30% improvement in wheel travel. These upper control arms are finished in a durable black powdercoat and include a billet aluminum ball joint dust cap. The control arms come fully assembled for easy install right out of the box. To compliment the uppers, the new lower control arms are built from high strength steel, fully boxed with internally gusseted. These lower arms integrate new reinforced lower coilover mounts and similar to the uppers use durometer specific rubber bushings at the frame mount and high quality Moog ball joints at the knuckle mount for quiet, low maintenance operation.
