BDS Heads to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes for the Memorial Holiday Weekend
Memorial Day Weekend at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, MI. After a long cold winter it’s the first opportunity to gather up the Midwestern trucks, jeeps, sandrails, quads and motos for a weekend of 4wheeling on the sand filled state land. With sunshine and temps in the low-to-mid 70s all weekend long you can bet the dunes will be packed with bad ass rides. BDS is heading north for the weekend to spend some quality time up at the dunes. We’ll have a few of the company rigs out and will be spending some time at our local dealer/Silver Lake go-to shop, David Allen Racing. The shop is located right next to the entrance to the dunes, offering up everything from food and dune flags to riding gear and BDS lift kits. BDS heads to LIMA and ETA this weekend
Its a busy weekend for the BDS crew with events in the midwest and east coast. Running Friday-Sunday, BDS is set up at the Lima 4Wheel Jamboree to talk with customers in Lima, OH. BDS Suspension is excited to be the official suspension sponsor of the 2014 Ultimate Adventure (UA) hosted by 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine. This annual event held each summer brings together 25+ trail rigs for a week of hardcore no whining, follow the leader style 4wheeling, camping, and back roads as the convoy takes on the challenging terrain of a region in the US. The group averages 1000+ miles over the weeklong journey and hits 4-5 trails along the way. The kicker is always not knowing the UA start location until just weeks prior. Each day on the trip at the daily driver’s meeting the group finds out from leader Rick Pewe whether it’ll be trail day or a 300-mile road day to get to the next spot, sometimes both. Jeep Beach 2014: Florida Fun
Following their week out in Moab, the BDS crew loaded up from Easter Jeep Safari and made the long haul to Daytona Beach for Jeep Beach. This being the 11th annual showing the Mid Florida Jeep Club has turned this into a must see event with 5 days of fun in sunny Florida as more than a thousand Jeeps converge on Daytona to party. Each year the event grows and this year we were once again impressed with ll the planing and preparations that went into place. The week starts off with scavenger hunt and party before the pre-show mixer and 2 day main event in the infield of the Daytona International Speedway. This family friendly event is filled with vendors, show-n-shine, obstacle course and more as Jeepers take to the speedway. Easter Jeep Safari 2014 Recap
It seems to be tradition now. Each Spring thousands of Jeepers make the journey from around the country and beyond to converge on the quiet town of Moab, UT for a weeklong event that combines trail rides, parties, a 2-day vendor show and raffling off of more than $250,000 in aftermarket goodies. With daily trail rides and events every night, Easter Jeep Safari has become a bucket list event, that thousands check off each year again and again. BDS Suspension made the trip out to run trails, test new products and chat with customers at the 2-day vendor show. With the rigs loaded BDS made the long haul from Michigan to the red rocks of Moab, UT with Project Slate our 2013 Ram 3500 Diesel, Project KJ, our 2005 Liberty CRD, and the BDS Ram 2500 Diesel.
