  Our friends at Power Automedia stopped by our booth at the 2018 SEMA Show to find out more about what BDS has been up to. We started off by giving a quick run down of #ProjectSD126. This Ford Super Duty was our build that we did for the Ford booth for the 2017 SEMA Show. Project SD126 was  built to not only look good, but perform out on the trails and open desert. The frame off overhaul included off the shelf parts from some of the best companies in the industry combined with top level fabrication from the BDS build team. What started as an idea to bring back an old favorite has evolved into a super cool and over the top 2017 Ford Super Duty standard-cab, short-bed, diesel that turns heads everywhere it goes. Its that time of year, not long after the ball drops to usher in the new year you’ll find convention halls across the country are filled with the latest offerings from automakers for public consumption, even some cool concepts to show each brand’s potential. Held in the windy city each February, this marked the 110th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. Known as the nation’s largest auto show, this event is held at the McCormick Place Complex sprawling over 1 million sq.ft. of exhibit space to show off the latest cars, trucks and concept vehicles from all the biggest auto manufacturers. From Monster trucks and 6×6 beasts, to trucks on tracks and hotrod trucks, there was no shortage of concepts on hand for the public to check out. After a couple months designing, cutting, building and modifying the truck was delivered to Butler Auto Body to get painted and the suspension parts were sent to powdercoat. At first there is a weird sense of anxiety and relief as the build is out of our hands at the moment and in the capable hands of Butler Auto Body to lay down some color. That relief quickly changed to work as the team is also responsible for designing and building all the new product displays and both props needs for our booth (#30192) at the 2017 SEMA Show.
