It was a mad rush to finish up Project Slate. All the little details always seem to take longer than expected and with 3 straight days of rain we can’t exactly say the weather is cooperating. The truck hit the road first thing this morning with trailer in tow as the first group makes their way to sin city for the 2013 SEMA Show. Check out the video and stay tuned for more next week during the show! View Video on Facebook  |  View Video on YouTube

Ultimate Adventure 2013 Video: Check out BDS Suspension’s video coverage from the 2013 Ultimate Adventure. The 1500 journey covered 4 Southeast states, in a hot, muggy, rainy thrashfest as 25 rigs, a film crew, and 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine took us on the Ultimate 4Wheeling trip. Well Project Slate our 2013 Ram 3500 hit the road for its first shake down run this morning before heading in for fresh graphics and a spray-in bedliner. While there are still a number of things to get installed on this truck (i.e. grill, steps, wiring up compressors and lights), we have a fast approaching deadline to hit the road for Vegas and we had a window to get graphics installed. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days and to see the progress up to this point, check out the build thread at https://blog.bds-suspension.com/?cat=478

The buildup continues as the crew from BDS’s R&D Department tears into our new 2013 Ram 3500 Cummins to turn it into something cool. This truck has been our test mule over the last few months as we prototype new lift kits for work with the redesigned front radius arm suspension. With SEMA right around the corner we’ve installed a pre-production version of the 8” 4-link conversion long arm kit. There are a number of benefits to the radius arm-to-4Link long arm conversion including better handling characteristics and a less caster change throughout wheel travel. Additionally on this build we’ve called in some favors with friends around the industry to help turn this truck into something cool. You may have read last week’s update where we received the 40×15.50×20 Nitto Mud Grapplers, 20×10 BMF Novakanes, Diamond Eye Exhaust, and front/rear Fusion Bumpers. This week we received the Spyder Auto smoked…

The time has come, after several years of proud service, a few catalog covers, and envy from thousands of truck owners, BDS is preparing to sell the BDS Dodge, our 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel Truck on 40s. The plan, to replace it with the latest release from Ram Trucks, a 2013 Ram 3500 Cummins with the new radius arm front suspension. We picked ours up a few months back and have been using it as a test mule for a variety of new products to hit the market. With SEMA right around the corner the plan is to turn our new truck into a show worthy hauler, acting as both tow rig for our rigs and displays as well as a show piece in its own right. We’ve called in some favors with friends around the industry and are excited to announce the buildup of BDS Project Slate.…
